Welcome to the latest product updates by HubSpot. HubSpot’s goal is to provide the best experience to its users, keeping them ahead in the competition for which it always tries to come up with the new and best functionality and helps the organizations to achieve their goals.
Let’s see what all updates we have got this time!
1. What is the Latest in Sales Hub
1.1 Embedded Workflows in Sequences
Applies to: Sales Hub Professional, Enterprise; and Service Hub Professional, Enterprise
Earlier in HubSpot, we could enroll and un-enroll contacts manually in the sequences. With the new update, we can do the same through automation. Based on triggers like ‘form submission’, the deal closed, or a follow-up after the meeting.
How does it Work?
- Navigate to Automation > Workflows.
- Hover over the workflow to edit an existing workflow, then click Edit. Or, create a new workflow.
- In the workflow editor, click the + icon to add an action.
- In the actions panel, select ‘Enroll in a sequence’ or To unenroll, click Unenroll from the sequence.
- Configure the action.
- Click Save.
Benefits
No more manual enrolling of contacts in Sequences.
1.2 Improvement to Meetings
Applies to: All Plans and Products
With the new update, a contact can now reschedule or cancel a meeting if scheduled with the Meetings tool.
How does it Work?
If the meeting is Canceled, the event from the calendar will be deleted and both the parties will be notified about the cancellation. If the meeting is rescheduled, then the event with a new date and time will appear on the calendar.
Benefits
The new update will let the users cancel or reschedule as per their requirements.
2. What is the Latest in Operations Hub
2.1 Trigger Workflows on Custom Intervals
Applies to: Operations Hub Professional, Enterprise
The new update will let the users create and trigger workflows on custom, pre-defined intervals. This will better support the recurring processes in your automation setup.
Workflows are triggered dynamically, when a record meets certain criteria set up by you. This automates a lot of tasks for you in HubSpot but they don't solve the purpose for the repetitive processes that aren't tied to a specific change or event but need to happen on a regular, specific cadence.
For example, you want to create a task for your sales managers on every 30th of the month to send you the sales report for the last month. Or, you want to automatically clean up the data every Friday night.
How does it Work?
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to Automation > Workflows.
- Click create a workflow.
- For the contacts-based workflow, under ‘How do you want this workflow section’, you will see an option ‘Schedule’. Select it.
- From the drop-down Schedule, select when you want your event to occur.
- In the Time of day tab, enter the time when you want your event to occur.
- Click next and set the rest of your workflow.
Benefits
Now you can create workflows for the repetitive processes for your business.
2.2 Python Supported in Custom Coded Workflow Actions
Applies to: Operations Hub Professional, Enterprise
Custom code actions in workflows now support Python language. With the introduction of Operation Hub last year, HubSpot introduced the feature of custom code actions, which allows users to create workflows that are exponentially more flexible.
With a few lines of code, you can now automate essentially anything, in any system. Now with Python support available, custom code actions are even more approachable for developers.
How does it Work?
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to Automation > Workflows.
- Click create a workflow or navigate to an existing custom code action.
- Click the dropdown and select the language in which you want to create code and then code away.
Benefits
With the new language added, developers can now find more possibilities for tasks automation.
3. What is the latest in CRM
3.1 Custom Objects in Global Search
Applied To: Marketing Hub Professional, Enterprise; Sales Hub Professional, Enterprise
In your CRM, in order to find a record quickly and easily, you need to search it on the search bar. Earlier, HubSpot only supported the global search for standard objects, but now it will support the Custom Objects too.
How does it Work?
When you use the global search in the top navigation, you'll now also see the custom object records that meet your search criteria, in addition to any other results.
Benefits
This update will make your team's work more efficient, and help you use HubSpot better and faster.
3.2 Create New records with Object ID while Importing
Applies to: All Plans and Products
While importing records in HubSpot, Object ID imports can create new records.
How does it Work?
If the import file specifies a HubSpot Object ID column (Contact ID or Company ID) will now create new records when that ID is blank.
When setting up the import, you will see the updated language on the Upload setup screen. This language includes a callout that blank Object ID entries will create new records.
Benefits
Create records through object ID while importing.
3.3 Rich Text CRM Property
(Public Beta)
You can format and style text stored in CRM properties using the new Rich Text property type update.
Until now, customers were only able to store and surface plain text in the CRM. With the new update, style your text and utilize CRM data to power websites, create dynamic emails, and more.
Also, note that stylized text and images will not appear on object records in the CRM. Rich Text properties are intended for use in emails, CMS websites, and integrations.
Format options include:
- Bold, italic, and underline
- Text color
- Font type and size
- Numbered lists and bulleted lists
- Paragraph Indentation
- Hyperlinks
- Images
Benefits
Create more powerful websites, dynamic emails.
3.4 Attribution Reporting within Campaigns
(Public Beta)
The new update provides you a whole new set of Contact Create Attribution, Deal Create Attribution, and Revenue Attribution reports built directly into the Campaigns tool.
Campaigns now match the rest of Marketing Hub and include the default "Revenue Attribution" reporting card available in other apps like Forms, Marketing Email, and CTAs.
Benefits
More reports type to analyze the data.
In the End
This is all about the HubSpot for January-2022. I hope you have gone through these updates and leverage them to improve your team efficiency and grow your business.
