This new update will make workflow functionality more powerful. Now you can schedule workflow triggers on pre-defined intervals to support your recurring events.
Workflow triggers usually when they meet specific criteria but they don't work for repetitive business processes that aren't tied to a specific change or event but need to happen on a regular cadence.
For example,
You have to send an internal email to your team every day at 11 AM
Or,
You need to send reminders to your team at the end of every month to send you the monthly report.
With the new update, this is now possible through workflows.
